What I Learned From the Draft Part I

What I Learned From the Draft Part I

Dear Friend,

Every year I say I'm not going to do it. And every year I am dead wrong.

I swear I won't watch one of the least exciting events on television. A nine hour ordeal which consists mostly of 15 minute waiting periods while decisions are being made.

But, each year I get sucked into watching a big part of the NFL draft. And every year, I learn a little something.

One thing I saw this year was actually during a commercial break. If you watched any of this, you probably saw the ad because it run about 100 times. Here's a hint: click, clack.

The ad was for a major apparel (and apparantly now shoe) company. It showed several of the projected top picks doing various workouts.

You probably saw that all of these guys were lean, powerful, muscular - in the type of shape many of us try to be in. And how did they get that way?

Through a lot of the types of exercises the commercial showed.

Pulling sleds, cone drills, sprinting, running agility ladders... not a long slow distance shot in the bunch.

Want to look strong, powerful and fast? Train that way.
